Formed in Scotland in 2007, Lord Rochester is probably the best and most genuine pure ‘n’ primitive rhythm & blues combo from the British scene in the last years. Their sound, obviously inspired by the raw late 50’s Chess sound -especially Bo Diddley- is a breath of fresh air, full of energy and great savoir faire.
Now they present their new work, Asturian Sessions, an inspired EP whose title recalls the glorious sessions at Circo Perrotti studio in Gijón, during which they crafted the four songs of this record. You’ll find in it primitive instrumentals and abrasive rhythm & blues.
The band is commanded by the legendary Russ Wilkins (Pop Rivets, Milshakes, The Wildebeests).
