The third Dirty Water release is the first in our new “Excavated Archives” series, designed to provide re-issues of classic but hard-to-get records from years gone by, and is an official re-issue of two Lyres tracks from 1979, namely their debut release, “Don’t Give It Up Now” c/w “How Do You Know?”. When we were having the lacquer cut Alex from Franz Ferdinand, along with The Cribs, were there and gave it the thumbs up! So forget that it’s a nearly 30 year old recording. It’s a great recording, nothing less.
